What happens in Office Crashout? 

You're left alone to run an office and complete a growing list of tasks under pressure. Once your rage meter fills, you can smash the office apart with whatever's nearby for a high score. 

Do I need to build my own ship from scratch in Captain Forever IO? 

No. There's no ship editor, you build by blasting enemy ships apart and bolting their pieces onto your own while flying, and your ship's design directly affects how it flies and fights.
