A recreation of a painting by my great-grandfather, the man I was named after. He was known for his kindness and warmth, and something of that spirit lives in his work. It has always reminded me of home. The original hangs in my family's house, where I've treasured it for years. Remaking it was my way of honoring him and reminding myself to keep striving in the arts.
