The technology allows the same asset to be streamed to multiple devices including smartphones, tablets, web browsers and XR headsets. Other forms of loading 3D models for visualization would typically require a powerful graphics card to achieve, but Polygon Streaming does all of the heavy lifting in the cloud, making it possible to use everyday devices instead, opening up more flexibility and use cases for users and enterprises.

How big of an environment can we optimize with Polygon Streaming?

A unique streaming model of up to 50M polygons is recommended. The platform supports multiple streaming assets.

Is Polygon Streaming easy to integrate into our existing workflow?

Absolutely. Polygon Streaming is designed to be easily integrated into existing workflows, with SDK and plugin support for Unreal, Unity and WebXR real-time game engines, it is easy to stream high-fidelity assets to your content.

How does it work with low or no internet connection?

The better the connection, the faster the streaming (or the updating of LODs). Similarly with a streaming video in which the resolution drops or improves depending on connection quality. It doesn't work without internet unless you are streaming locally or from a local server.

What kind of control do we have over the LOD generation process? Can we customize LODs manually?

Polygon Streaming employs a fully automated LOD generation process. Our design is intelligent and adaptive, simplifying any need for manual decimation or other manual work. The end device only fetches the relevant data so it can adaptively control and balance processing and memory usage seamlessly.
